On the 28th July 2015 in the remote country of Georgia, I competed in the Individual Time Trial at the European Youth Olympics for Great Britain. The heat was intense, something I hadn’t been accustomed to. I couldn’t believe how many girls were riding as well as the standard that they were riding at, incomparable to any event I had ridden prior to the games back in the UK. I finished the 9.6 km Time Trial in a time of 14:19. I was called up to the ‘Hot Seat’ after my ride, which was much to my consternation. I was sat there for a while. The wait was tense. I was overcome by Clara Copponi of France for second and Elena Pirrone of Italy, taking the win. I took bronze. Words cannot describe how overwhelmed I was. My performance is credit to the team at Epic Coaching. I started cycling seriously 18 months ago. From day 1, Epic Coaching have helped me to become stronger physically and also mentally. Without the pervasive expertise and knowledge that the team at Epic Coaching posses, none of this would have been possible. My teammate, Pfeiffer Georgi, also coached by the Epic team powered over the line to finish in 6th place.

Also, I would like to say a massive thank you to Team SportsAid and the Jaguar Landrover Academy of sport for all their help so far this season.
