The George Herbert Stancer National Schools Championship final took place in Dunnington, Warwickshire on Saturday and it was Flex-Tech Ettridge Cycles RT rider Joe Laverick who was crowned champion, covering the 10-mile course in 21.01.

Lauren Dolan (Liv CC – Epic Coaching) won the women’s event. In a time of 22.32, Lauren won the race by over a minute from her nearest rival. Perhaps more impressively, she finished in the top 40 overall.

“It’s great feeling to have won the GHS 10 this year, as well as doing a PB, knocking over 1 minute off my previous best. The conditions weren’t the best, pretty damp and windy. The course was undulating and subject to very strong winds on parts. I’m extremely happy with how I rode physically and technically. This year I have become more adept in these areas, enabling me to put in good a performance at the national this weekend.”

Lauren is showing some great form ahead of the European 13418695_1029026153833010_488987446184202751_nChampionships later this month. All of us at EPiC are incredibly proud of Lauren’s achievements, and wish her all the best of luck for the final part of the season.
