17 year old Lauren Dolan, in just her first year as a junior and riding in the senior championships, proved her talents with a cunning points race to cap off the women omnium. Pictured here with [respectful] first and second placed riders Neah Evans and Laura Kenny; Dolan wrapped up a fantastic series with sixth place overall. A fantastic start to her junior campaign, and a great insight as to her potential through the coming years.
Alex Ridehalgh of Team Wiggins closed the gap on HOY Bikes Future Stars Series leader Jum Brown of Maloja Pushbikers with a win in the Points Race. In a leading group from midway, Ridehalgh took second place in sprint two, won sprint 3 and clinched the win with third on the line. James Codd took the final sprint for Team Raleigh but Oscar Mingay of Team USN’s second place – along with a second place in sprint 3 and a third in the second sprint secured second overall, tied on 8 points with Jack Barton of Cyling Ireland who took sprint two and a third and fourth in the final two sprints.
